An authentic 18th-century volume of The Works of Peter Pindar, Esqr., Volume III, published in London by John Walker in 1794.
“Peter Pindar” was the celebrated pseudonym of John Wolcot (1738–1819), the British physician, poet, and satirist known for his sharp and often irreverent commentary on prominent figures of Georgian society. This volume comes from the three-volume collected edition of his works published in 1794.
A wonderful piece for the collector of Georgian literature, early English satire, antiquarian books, or simply for a library seeking the unmistakable character of a genuine 18th-century leather-bound volume.
