Antique American powder flask manufactured by the American Flask & Cap Company, one of the most respected U.S. makers of the mid-19th century.
This example is clearly marked “AM FLASK & CAP CO” on the charger base (see photos), confirming authenticity and American manufacture. The flask features a classic repoussé shell motif in copper with brass fittings, consistent with known patterns produced by the company during the circa 1850s–1860s period.
The flask retains its original removable charger/spout, an important detail for collectors, as many examples are missing this component. The surface shows honest age-appropriate patina, oxidation, and wear, with no polishing or artificial cleaning - exactly how collectors prefer to find them.
This piece is sold strictly as an antique collectible. No claims are made regarding functionality or historical use.
