Authentic WWII U.S. Army M1 steel helmet shell, featuring honest battlefield wear and a hand-painted soldier name: “Keane.”
This is an original wartime helmet, not a reproduction. The exterior shows heavy service patina consistent with WWII use, including worn paint, oxidation, and age-appropriate surface wear. Interior retains original hardware clips; liner is not present.
The hand-applied name adds personal provenance, making this especially desirable to WWII collectors, militaria historians, and display buyers seeking an authentic, story-bearing piece rather than a restored example.
🔹 Details:
WWII U.S. M1 steel helmet shell
Original olive drab finish with combat wear
Hand-painted name: KEANE (period style)
No liner included (shell only, as shown)
Untouched condition — no repainting or restoration
🔹 Why collectors want this one:
Named helmets are far scarcer than unmarked shells
Honest condition > refinished examples
Ideal for display, research, or collection centerpiece
